Skardu to Hunza Tour

One-way crossing of Gilgit-Baltistan: begin in Baltistan, follow the Indus west to Gilgit, then climb the Karakoram Highway into Hunza and Gojal.

Itinerary

1. Day 1–2

   Skardu

   Arrival, Kharpocho, Shangrila and Upper Kachura lakes.

2. Day 3

   Shigar & cold desert

   Shigar Fort, then Sarfaranga dunes at sunset.

3. Day 4

   Skardu → Gilgit

   The Indus gorge road west, with stops at Sassi and the confluence.

4. Day 5–6

   Hunza

   Karimabad forts, Attabad Lake, Duikar sunrise.

5. Day 7

   Gojal & Khunjerab

   Passu Cones, Hussaini bridge and the border pass.

6. Day 8

   Departure

   Hunza to Gilgit airport, or onward south by road.
